The Axee Bear Company is named for Axel — "Axee-Bear" to the people who loved him — a lab mix adopted in 2012 who spent over a decade reminding us what rescue dogs give back tenfold. This company exists to honor him, and to turn that into something bigger: funding and spotlighting animal rescue work, one order at a time.
What We Make
Axee Bear Originals are our own designs — apparel, totes, and drinkware built around animal-rescue themes, developed through an AI-assisted concept process and then hand-finished by us: editing, typography, composition, and print preparation. Every piece starts as an idea about a dog (or a cat, or the people who foster them) and ends as something you can wear or use every day.
Recommended Products are items we didn't design ourselves — dog beds, leashes, feeding and training supplies — chosen because they're genuinely useful for the pets and people in the rescue community we serve.
Our Giving Commitment
10% of every order's net profit is donated monthly, split between A.D.O.P.T. Pet Shelter (Naperville, IL) and Best Friends Animal Society. We chose these two because one is local — a shelter we volunteer with directly — and the other works at a national scale. Neither organization formally endorses or is affiliated with The Axee Bear Company; we name them here simply because it's where your support goes.
A Note on Our Designs
We're upfront about how we work: our Originals begin with an AI-assisted concept process, then go through manual editing, typography, composition, and print preparation before anything reaches a shirt or a mug. We think that's worth saying plainly, the same way we're upfront about where your money goes when you buy from us.
